How Do You Play the Game Blank Slate?

In Blank Slate, players try to earn 25 points by completing words or phrases on a card drawn by the current player. Each player has a miniature dry erase board and marker, and the goal is to write something in the blank space that completes a full word or phrase. Scoring is based on how many other players match your answer. If two or more players have the exact same answer, they each score three points. If only one other player has the same answer, they each score two points. If no one else has the same answer, they score one point.

The game is easy to set up and play, and is similar to other word association games like Codenames. Blank Slate is a fun game for up to 8 players and is a great addition to your game collection if you enjoy word games.

Here are the basic steps to play the game:

1. Choose a player to be the scorekeeper.
2. Shuffle the prompt cards and place them in a stack in the middle of the table.
3. Each player takes a small whiteboard and marker.
4. The scorekeeper draws a card from the stack and reads the prompt aloud.
5. Each player writes their answer to the prompt on their whiteboard, leaving the prompt word blank.
6. Once everyone has written their answer, all players reveal their whiteboards.
7. Players score points based on how many other players they match with. If two or more players have the exact same answer, they each score three points. If only one other player has the same answer, they each score two points. If no one else has the same answer, they score one point.
8. The scorekeeper records the scores for each round.
9. Play continues with each player taking turns being the scorekeeper.
10. The game ends when each player has been the scorekeeper once. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.
