First-Year Applicants

If you’re a high school senior, you’re in the midst of a very intense process — so we’ll try to make this as easy for you as possible. Find all you need to know about important dates, application requirements and plans, the coursework we look for on your transcript and other steps in applying to Stevens.

A first-year application should be submitted if you are a current high school student, or a high school graduate that has not been enrolled in a college or university since graduation. This includes students that have earned college credits through a high school and/or dual-enrollment curriculum.

Application Requirements

Submit the following to apply for admission to Stevens:

  1. A completed application either via the Common Application or Coalition Application
  2. Official high school transcript*
  3. Test-optional through Fall 2026 first year student applicants. If you choose to submit test scores, you may self-report them on your application portal. Applicants to Music or Visual Arts & Technology, a portfolio is strongly encouraged.
  4. Essay (included on your application)
  5. Two letters of recommendation (teacher or school counselor recommendation preferred)
  6. $75 application fee

*Official transcripts and recommendation letters must be submitted electronically from the institutions (via the Common App or Coalition app) or by email to [email protected] . Stevens cannot accept transcripts or recommendation letters submitted by students as official.

The Accelerated Pre-Medicine Program requires a Regular Decision application, but the deadline for submitting the application and all required materials is November 1.
